| I grew up with all kinds of animals; horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, pigs and sheep. Because we lived out in the country, several of our dogs were strays from people who abandoned them out there, thinking that someone would take them in, which was usually us. I was an active member of 4-H for several years, and showed horses until I went to college. I graduated with a degree in Animal Science, and went to work for a veterinary hospital and then into the biotechnology field, working in research. After 17 years in that field, the company closed down, and I was left with a decision to make. I decided I didn't want to work in the corporate field anymore, and since I love hiking with my dogs, I got in touch with Nathalie, and a new career was born. I have always enjoyed being around dogs, and training them. I currently show my own dogs in agility, and they also work in obedience and herding. Even when I was little, I trained all our dogs to do tricks and "obedience". I even trained my horse to do some tricks, and I still have her, she is 30 years old now! I think dogs deserve to be fulfilled in their everyday lives to the best of our ability, they give us so much in return. I currently live in Morgan Hill with my husband and pack of dogs - Border Collies and a Rottweiler - a bird, and a horse. |
